The exhibition “bionic by sputniko!” which showcases the future of biotechnological fashion, is coming to Seibu Shibuya. This exhibition is based on the notion of “what if the future brings clothing created through biological technology?” and is an experimental installation (showing growth during the exhibition) that considers fashion as an extension of the human body that can be generated biologically.
Daisy Balloon will present futuristic fashion adapted to four life scenarios: self-generation (sleep), the ability to extend our bodies to swim efficiently (exercise), to challenge our tastes and TPO (dating), and to give color to a brilliant moment of our lives (wedding).

Since forming in 2008, balloon artist DAISY BALLOON has continued to create balloon works based the themes of perception and quality which has now published in their second art book release.
The book is a collection of 16 works created between April 2012 through November 2013. The first creation focuses on the balloon as the principal material. The second piece is an ambitious creation that incorporates non-balloon materials. The experimental fusion of alternative materials proves to be a success in exposing the different facets of balloons. We hope that you will someday be able to experience their new creations up close. Daikanyama Tsutaya Books will have an exhibition along with the pre-release of photo book vol. 2.

Aging | There is fear in that we are all different from one another, but that is also the gateway to self-consciousness.Self-consciousness was once whole, but in the modern trend where all things whole get broken down, it too is about to get deconstructed. For that reason, people now seek to reconstruct their consciousness by extending it onto others.Through this process of extension, we have learned to unravel things down to their basic elements. We are succeeding at digging up new knowledge of what it is we all share. This knowledge that bonds different people together seems to appear suddenly, but in reality it is already coded into our planet, our universe. We construct things from the most basic building blocks. What are we to discover from this process? To find the answer, we must continue to turn our gaze toward those around us.

We exhibited 14 works at the “Chocolate A-Z Exhibition”held at Harbour City, Hong Kong’s largest shopping mall. The entire exhibit spanned a 70-meter stretch of walkway. This exhibition was curated by Hong Kong creative studio, AllRightsReserved, and featured chocolate in all its glory through the A-Z of chocolate-focused artwork and products. 35 artists and designers created works for this exhibit. Knowing this event would draw well-known artists, we wanted to shine a massive light toward the hidden talent within Japan and show off the shadows it casted. In this stagnant Japanese economy, innovation is critical, but at the same time, we need to put the spotlight on things that are still in the dark. This should be Japan’s next step. When you look into a bright flashlight, you see a shadow the moment you close your eyes. In a similar way, we hope our vivid colors and dynamic visuals have seared a lasting impression into the minds of the viewers who traversed the walkway and that they will remember that it represents Japan’s path toward progress.
