In this work, we wanted to create a story about the relationship between “past and future” and “people and forest” that is present in Asahikawa. The story has three parts: The culture and customs of Asahikawa, the coexistence of people and the forest, and the metaphor that represents the birth of Asahikawa Furniture. Snow, forest, and people, which are the symbols of Asahikawa intermingle to create a cohesive shining mass. We hope you can feel the light that Asahikawa Furniture shines into the world.
Harmony | The snowmelt seeping into the land is a representation of the harmony created through the nature and people of Asahikawa (Photo 1).
Hito to Mori | The symbols of Asahikawa—snow, forest, people—each shine in their own way and come together to form a magnificent light (Photo 2).
